Time Table

Students at lab

Time Course of the Master Program Plant Sciences

The calendar year of study is sliced into 8 time frames (TF) beginning with the start of the winter term.

Time frames TF1, TF2 and TF3 each are of max. 5 weeks and together approximate the classic winter semester, with TF1 and TF2 before and TF3 after the X-mas holidays, respectively.

Correspondingly , TF5, TF6 and TF7 together approximate the classic summer semester.

Longer time frames TF4 (of 8 weeks) and TF8 (of 10 weeks) lie in between the classic semesters.

Theory modules cover either TF1 through TF3 in the winter term or TF5 through TF7 in the summer term.

Lab course modules can be finished within one time frame in TF1, TF2, TF3, TF5, TF6 or TF7, respectively.

This leaves plenty of room for planning individual arrangements of (external) practical courses and internships in TF4 and TF8.

In the following time tables courses of obligatory choice categories are colour coded according to

A&D – Plant Biochemistry, Physiology and molecular Biology: Red,
B&E – Plant Cell Biology and Development: Purple
C&F – Plant Biodiversity, Evolution and Systematics: Green.
